Australis, Salmones Camanchaca, Blumar join forces in salmon logistics venture
The companies are waiting for the green light from authorities.
Chilean salmon companies Australis, Camanchaca and Blumar have entered into an agreement to jointly own the logistics company Alpha Logistics, according to a notification from Chile’s Financial Prosecutor Office (FNE).
According to the document, the transaction reflects the companies’ intentions to consolidate their logistic activities through the acquisition of 100 percent of Alpha Logistics’ shares.
The move is part of a plan by the companies to strengthen their position in different stages of the value chain and optimize the transport of their combined volumes of salmon into their main export markets.
