The herring harvest in Bristol Bay's Togiak region finished with an overall purse seine catch of 23,060 metric tons, a record for the fishery, according to the Alaska Department of Fish & Game.

The projected ex-vessel value of the fishery was around $1.7 million (€1.5 million), with an advanced price estimate of $75 (€66.5) per metric ton. The average reported weight of the herring was 348 grams.
